Ronnie Riner, age 77, of Douglas, Georgia, passed away on Sunday, February 6, 2022, at Coffee Regional Medical Center following a brief illness. Mr. Riner was born on September 6, 1944, in Vidalia, Georgia, to the late Elder Ralph Riner and Allene Riner.

 

Survivors include: His Brother;  Brad Riner (Lora) of Douglas, GA, and his Sister;  Brenda Eckleberry (Vernon) of Brunswick, GA. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews. Mr. Riner was preceded in death by his parents; Elder Ralph Riner and Allene Riner, and a brother Joel Riner.

 

The family will receive friends on Thursday, February 10, 2022, at the First United Methodist Church in Douglas, GA, from 1:00PM until 2:00PM.

 

A celebration of life will be held on Thursday, February 10, 2022, at 2:00PM, at the First United Methodist Church in Douglas, GA with Elder Vernon Eckleberry and Rev. Donald Cole officiating. The congregation will sing Amazing Grace, I Can Only Imagine, will be sung by Ronnie’s nephew Brian Eckleberry, and Tania Myers will play a medley of gospel songs at the piano.  Active pallbearers will be Austin Riner, Jacob Riner, Doug Cole,  Kevin Eckleberry,  Joel Ganger, and Wendell Stone. 

 

Due to Covid-19, Sims Funeral Home Inc. will require all customers, guests, and attendees to wear medical grade masks at all times while in our facility, as well as social distancing. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, however the safety of our staff and those we serve are our primary concern. Masks will not be provided.

 

Sims Funeral Home, Douglas, GA is in charge of arrangements.
