Jane McRae Wade, age 79, of Douglas, Georgia, passed away Tuesday, February 15, 2022 at her residence following a brief illness. Mrs. Wade was born on Tuesday, March 17, 1942 in Coffee County, Georgia, to the late Andrew Thomas McRae and Quinelle Pope.
Survivors include: Husband; Gene Wade of Douglas, GA, Son; Todd Wade and wife Dana, Two Daughters; Wendy Lewellen and Husband Lew, Susan Carver and Husband W.A.; Seven Grandchildren; Hampton Wade and Wife Taylor of Richmond Hill, Ga , Morgan Lewellen of Acworth, Ga , Hagen Wade and wife Allyson of Waynesboro, Ga, Jarad Lewellen of Morgantown, WV , Wade Sumner of Douglas, Ga , Cane Carver of Douglas, Ga , Cole Carver of Wray, Ga, One Sister; Mary Quinnelle Mcrae of Douglas, Ga, Two Step-Grandchildren; Ashleigh Gillis and husband Logan of Axson, Ga , and Alli Bramblett and husband Trevor of Atlanta, Ga, and Three Great-Grandchildren; Addie Stewart, Slade Gillis, and Sawyer Gillis. Mrs. Wade was preceded in death by her parents; A.T. and Quinella Pope McRae, and Brother; Dr. Tom McRae.
Family will receive friends on Saturday, February 19, 2022, from 12:00PM to 2:00PM at Covenant Church.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 19, 2022, at 2:00PM at Covenant Church with Rev. Gregory and Jackie Pope officiating. The internment will follow at Douglas City Cemetery. Active Pallbearers are: Hampton Wade, Hagen Wade, Wade Sumner, Cane Carver, Cole Carver, Jared Lewellen, Morgan Lewellen, and Joshua Hunt.
