Charles Jimmy Crews, age 86, of Douglas, Georgia, passed away on Friday, February 11, 2022 at Vista Park Health and Rehabilitation following an extended illness. Mr. Crews was born on February 16, 1935, in Alma, Georgia, to the late Frank Widden Crews and Lora Lee Bland Crews.

 

Survivors include: His Wife;  Barbara Sue Tanner Crews of Douglas, GA,  Daughter;  Beverly Ann Palen of Douglas, GA,  Son;  Charles Randall Crews of Illinois,  Brother;  Benny Ralph Crews of Alma, GA,  Three Grandchildren;  Jennifer Leanne Fallin, Shalleah Danielle Prather, Ashton Rayne Mullis,  Three Great-Grandchildren;  Jacob Maddox Prather, Koah Christian Prather, and Remington Louise Mullis. Mr. Crews was preceded in death by his parents;  Frank Widden Crews and Lora Lee Bland Crews, and a Sister;  Lynette Painter.

 

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, February 15, 2022, from 10:00AM until 11:00AM, at Sand Hill Baptist Church.

 

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, February 15, 2022, at 11:00AM, at Sand Hill Baptist Church with Rev. Glenn Waters officiating. The interment will follow at Sand Hill Baptist Church Cemetery. Active Pallbearers will be: Bobby Tanner, Billy Tanner, Avery Tanner, Randy Thacker, Andy Thomason, Andy Holton, Scott Crews, and Collin Crews.

 

Sims Funeral Home Inc. will require all customers, guests, and attendees to wear medical grade masks at all times while in our facility, as well as social distancing. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, however the safety of our staff and those we serve are our primary concern. Masks will not be provided.
