Mrs. Bonnie Stapleton Conley, age 80 of Douglas, GA passed away early Friday morning, February 18, 2022 at Coffee Regional Medical Center following a short illness. Mrs. Conley was born August 25, 1941 to the late Wilbert Stapleton and the late Eva Troup Stapleton. Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters: Inez Stallings and Elizabeth Stapleton.

 

Mrs. Conley, a native of Hazlehurst, GA, was a homemaker. She was a member of Rocky Pond Baptist Church.

 

Survivors include:

 

Her husband: John Lark Conley of Douglas, GA

 

2 Children: Laurie Schmit of Douglas, GA
James W. Schmit of Douglas, GA

 

1 Grandchild: Katarina Serrano of Douglas, GA

 

1 Sister: Geneva Hickox of Douglas, GA

 

Several Nieces, Nephews, Cousins and many Friends

 

The funeral service will be Monday afternoon, at 2:00 PM at Rocky Pond Baptist Church with Rev. Lonnie Spikes and Rev. Joey Copeland officiating with the interment to follow in the Church Cemetery.

 

The family will receive friends on Monday afternoon February 21, 2022 from 12:00 PM until 2:00 PM at Rocky Pond Baptist Church.

 

Due to COVID, the funeral home has asked all attendees to please follow the rules and guidelines for social distancing and to wear your mask for safety precautions at the visitation, funeral service and interment.

 

Ricketson Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
