Mr. Tommy Eugene Phillips, age 74 of Douglas, GA passed away Saturday afternoon, February 19, 2022 at Coffee Regional Medical Center following a short illness.

 

Mr. Phillips was born September 12, 1947 to the late Johnson Eugene Phillips and the late Sallie Bernice Taylor Phillips. Mr. Phillips, a native of Coffee County, was a retired Produce Manager with Harvey’s and he was also the manager of the warehouse for Harvey’s in Nashville. He attended Stone’s Chapel Church of Broxton.

 

Survivors include:His wife: Melba Phillips of Douglas, GA

 

4 Children: Brian Phillips and wife Tammy of Broxton, GA
Angie Ragsdale and husband Harold of Douglas, GA
Patricia Phillips of Douglas, GA
Anthony Phillips of Jesup, GA

 

2 Sisters: Kay Spires of Douglas, GA
Joann Dykes and husband Johnny of Douglas, GA

 

1 Grandchild whom he reared: Austin B. Phillips of Douglas, GA, along with 5 other Grandchildren and 5 Great GrandchildrenSeveral Nieces, Nephews Cousins and Many Friends

 

The graveside service and interment will be Tuesday afternoon, February 22, 2022 at 2:00 PM at Chatterton Cemetery with Rev. Rob Merritt and Rev. Tim Mock officiating.The family will receive friends on Monday evening, February 21, 2022, from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Ricketson Funeral Home. In Lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Ricketson Funeral Home in order to help with the expense of the funeral.

 

Due to COVID, the funeral home has asked all attendees to please follow the rules and guidelines for social distancing and to wear your mask for safety precautions at the visitation, graveside service and interment.

 

Ricketson Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
