Johnson Funeral & Cremation Services announces the funeral service for James Clay Raper, age 41, of Uvalda, who passed away Sunday, February 20, 2022.
Visitation will be 6-9 PM Tuesday, February 22, 2022 at Johnson Funeral & Cremation Services. Services will be held at 4 PM Wednesday, February 23, 2022 in the Pridgen Baptist Church 5271 US 441 Broxton, Georgia 31519.
Rev. Sam Varis will officiate with burial in the Pridgen Baptist Church Cemetery.
Mr. Raper was born in Douglas, Georgia. He was the son of the late James Windell Raper and was preceded in death by: Grandparents: James Artice “Ott” Raper & Doris Ellis Raper, Cyrus Freeman Holman & Lessie Mae Holman. Mr. Raper was the Vice President/ Information Tech at Heritage Bank Southeast and was a member of the Church of God.
Survivors include: Daughter & Son-in-law: Malory Ashlyn Raper Pope (Ryan) of Adrian; Mother & Step-father: Faye Holman Raper Garrett (Robert) of Huffer; Grand-daughter: Aurora Grace Pope of Adrian; Sister: Windi Renee’ Raper of Pridgen.
Active pallbearers will be: Tony McKinnon, Dusty Pridgen, Josh Carver, Clint Winters, Ken Worth & Caleb Reeder.
