Mrs. Juanita Nell Lee Geiger, age 78 of Axson, Ga. passed away Sunday, February 27, 2022, at her home surrounded by her daughters and loved ones.

She was born in Manor, Ga. on January 17, 1944, daughter of the late Styles Lee and Ada Morgan Lee. Mrs. Geiger made her home in Axson for the last 60 years. She raised her children alongside her late husband, while working 45 years at Standard Container/Brockway in Homerville, Ga. She was of the Christian faith and the Church of God of Prophecy of Axson, Ga. held a special place in her heart.

Mrs. Geiger enjoyed making memories with her family, working in her yard and flowers, being a seamstress, quilting, but most of all she loved camping and fishing with her husband, daughters and son-in-laws, grandchildren, great grandchildren, and friends.

In addition to her parents Mrs. Geiger was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Geiger of Axson, Ga., her granddaughter, Talisa Hope Durrance, of Pearson, Ga., son-in-law, Gene Corbitt of Axson, Ga., special niece, Joan Marie Lee, and 6 siblings, Omie White of Axson, Ga., Leona Bullard of Millwood, Ga., Franie Smith of Waycross, Ga., Elmer Lee of Douglas, Ga., James Lee of Douglas, Ga., and Delmas Lee of Pearson, Ga.

Survivors include:

3 Daughters:  Cynthia White and husband Randall of Axson, Ga.

Carol Durrance and husband Johnny of Pearson, Ga.

Maxine Corbitt of Axson, Ga.

3 Grandchildren:  Richard “Wade” Carver and wife Haley of Pearson, Ga.

Kevin Bryant Davis of Axson, Ga.

Crystal Sharee Combs and husband Chris of Millwood, Ga.

5 Great Grandchildren:  Mackenzie Elizabeth Carver of Pearson, Ga.

Salah LaChelle Durrance of Pearson, Ga.

Bayli Jo Carver of Pearson, Ga.

Christopher Eugene Combs of Millwood, Ga.

Claire Elizabeth Combs of Millwood, Ga.

Several nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives also survive.

Funeral services for Mrs. Geiger will be held Wednesday, March 2, 2022, at 3:00 P.M. at the Axson Church of God of Prophecy in Axson, Ga. with Rev. Britt Peavey and Mrs. Sue White officiating. The interment will follow in the Axson Cemetery.

 

 

Visitation for Mrs. Geiger will be held on Tuesday, March 01, 2022, from 6:00 – 8:00 P.M. at Relihan Funeral Home in Pearson, Ga.

Attendees are asked to comply with the current guidelines and standards regarding containment of the coronavirus including masks and social distancing.
