Mr. Ralphford “Ray” Lee Burch, age 67 of Douglas, Ga., passed away Monday, February 21, 2022, in Macon, Ga. 

 

He was born on January 29, 1955, in Jacksonville, Florida, to William Ralph and Billie Boatright Burch.  Mr. Burch made his home in the Douglas and Pearson areas for the last 20 years, where he worked as a carpenter and enjoyed watching westerns. 

 

Mr. Burch was a veteran of the US Army and was preceded in death, along with his parents, by a sister, Robin Gale Burch.

Survivors include:  

Daughter:  Stephanie Carlyle of Jacksonville, Fla.

2 Brothers:  Will Burch and wife, Stacye of Axson, Ga.

Byron Burch and wife, Phoebe of Axson, Ga.

2 Sisters:  Terri Compton of Jacksonville, Fla.

Cynthia Fincher of Homerville, Ga.

Several nieces, nephews and other relatives also survive.

Graveside funeral services for Mr. Burch were held, Saturday, February 26, 2022, at 12:00 p.m. at Axson Cemetery with Bro. Randall Rhymes officiating. 

Special musical selections included “Go Rest High” rendered by cd.  The interment followed in the Axson Cemetery, with Military Honors.

Relihan Funeral Home in Pearson is in charge of the arrangements.
