Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Sellers Soles, age 72 of Hahira, GA, formerly of Coffee County, passed away late Wednesday evening, March 9, 2022 at her residence in Hahira, GA following a short illness. Mrs. Soles was born June 22, 1949 to the late Joseph Lewis Sellers and the late Leila Gordon Sellers.

 

Mrs. Soles was born in Dooly County, Ga. but had lived most of her life in Coffee County. She was retired from banking having worked at several banks, lastly being Colony Bank. She had received her degree in banking and finance. She was a member of Parkview Calvary Holiness Church.

 

Survivors include:

 

Her Husband: Stanford Soles of Hahira, GA

 

1 Son: Stanley Ferrell Soles and wife Lyndi of Hahira, GA

 

2 Grandchildren: Grant and Baker Soles both or Hahira, GA

 

6 Siblings: Janie Crowe and husband Larry of Sumner, GA
Newton Sellers and wife Sandra of Wray, GA
Dewayne Sellers and wife Kathy of Wray, GA
Donnell Sellers and wife Lisa of Lenox, GA
Steve Sellers and wife Tammy of Wray, GA
Connie Bowen of Cordele, GA

 

Numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends

 

The funeral service will be held Saturday afternoon, March 12, 2022 at 2:00 PM at Parkview Calvary Holiness Church with Rev. Kyle Taft and Rev. Mike Bennett officiating. The interment will follow in Douglas City Cemetery with Rev. Herschell Smith presenting the committal service.

 

Mrs. Soles will be placed in the church at 1:00 PM to lie in state until the funeral hour at 2:00 PM.

 

The family will receive friends Friday evening, March 11, 2022 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Ricketson Funeral Home.

 

Due to COVID, the funeral home has asked all attendees to please follow the rules and guidelines for social distancing and to wear your mask for safety precautions at the visitation, funeral service and interment.

 

Ricketson Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
