Mr. Jimmy Blaine Weeks, age 85 of Douglas, GA passed away Friday morning, March 25, 2022, at Vista Park following an extended illness. Mr. Weeks was born in Coffee County, GA on December 12, 1936 to the late Chester Luther Weeks and the late Lucy Harper Weeks.

 

Mr. Weeks worked many years with the Georgia Dept of Labor and upon retiring he has enjoyed being with his family, especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was a member of Southview Church of God and he also attended Salem Holiness Baptist Church.

 

Survivors include:

 

His wife of 38 years: Carolyn Smith Weeks of Douglas, GA

 

2 Children: Keith Blaine Weeks of Douglas, GA
Andrew Brian Weeks of Enigma, GA

 

2 Stepchildren: Lisa Butts of Douglas, GA
Timothy McRorie of Douglas, GA

 

2 Brothers: Donnie Edward Weeks of Tifton, GA
Terry Luther Weeks of Douglas, GA

 

3 Grandchildren: Brandon Oliver Weeks of Douglas, GA
Brian Elliott Weeks of Jasper, FL
Andrew Brian Weeks, Jr. of Enigma, GA

 

4 Step Grandchildren: Elyse Blackwell and Eden McKinnon both of Douglas, GA
Marissa McRorie of Fitzgerald, GA
TimaLee Haley of Douglas, GA

 

9 Great Grandchildren

 

A number of nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends

 

The funeral service will be held Monday afternoon, March 28, 2022 at 3:00 PM at the Chapel of Ricketson Funeral Home with Rev. Don Lott and Rev. Tommy Greene officiating. The interment will follow in the Douglas City Cemetery.

 

The family will receive friends, Monday, March 28, 2022 from 2:00 to 3:00 PM at the Chapel of Ricketson Funeral Home.

 

Ricketson Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
