Mrs. Elizabeth Jane Barrineau, age 94 of Douglas, passed away Friday afternoon, April 1, 2022 at Hospice Satilla Hospice House in Waycross, GA following an extended illness. Mrs. Barrineau was born April 25, 1927 to the late Marcus D. Norris and the late Alta Moore Norris. Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband: Charles “Pete” Barrineau, 1 Brother: Marcus D. Norris, Jr.; 2 Sisters: Wilda Corbett and Jerri Massey, 1 Son: Marshall “Butch” Sears and 1 Great Grandson: Drayden Sears.

 

 

Survivors include:

 

 

1 Daughter: Cynthia Pridgen of Douglas, GA

 

 

1 Son: Wesley Sears of Douglas, GA

 

 

5 Grandchildren: Carla Wilson and husband Rodney
Jan Meeks and husband Grady
Meg Sears
Christopher Sears and wife Lauren
Stan Sears

 

 

6 Great Grandchildren

 

 

8 Great-Great Grandchildren

 

 

The graveside service and interment will be held, Tuesday morning, April 5, 2022 at 11:00 AM at Douglas City Cemetery with Rev. Byron Griffis officiating and a granddaughter, Carla Wilson presenting a eulogy.

 

 

The family will receive friends on Tuesday morning, at Douglas City Cemetery from 10:00 AM until the funeral hour of 11:00 AM.

 

 

Ricketson Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
