Mrs. Phyllis Holton Vaughn, age 78 of Broxton, GA, passed away Thursday morning, March 31, 2022 at her residence following a brief illness. Mrs. Vaughn was born March 16, 1944 to the late John Ledley Holton and the late Pauline Mildred Lott Conley. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Daniel C. Vaughn, Sr. ; 3 children: Janet Maria Harper, Daniel C. Vaughn, Jr. and Cathy Teresa Vaughn, 1 Sister: Nancy Minix and 1 Brother: Alan Wayne Sonberg.
Mrs. Vaughn, a native of Duval County, FL, had retired after many years working at PCC in the finishing department. She was a member of Reedy Branch Baptist Church.

16 Grandchildren: Tiffany Walsh, Kimberly Mullis, Mandy White, Kayla Ward and husband Craig, Misty Phillips, Michael Van Sloun, Joshua Vaughn and wife Claire, Jessie Raiden and husband Matthew, Lauren Van Sloun, Rebecca Vaughn, Matthew Vaughn, Daniel Chandler, Kara Adams and husband Dawson, Abbi Vaughn, Alex Vaughn and Kayman Perkins

A number of nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.
The funeral service will be held Sunday afternoon, April 3, 2022 at 2:00 PM at Chapel of Ricketson Funeral Home with Rev. Den Weniger and Rev. Miles Newton officiating. The interment will follow at Lone Hill Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Saturday evening, April 2, 2022 from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Chapel of Ricketson Funeral Home.
Pallbearers for Mrs. Vaughn’s service will be Josh Vaughn, Matthew Vaughn, Matthew Raiden, Taylor Walton, Craig Ward, Dawson Adams and Cole Burkett.
Musical selections will be “I Believe” by Owen Mac and “Precious Memories” by Alan Jackson with soft hymns furnished by Dawson Adams.
