Elise Marie Harrell Leverette, age 86, of Ambrose, Georgia, passed away on Wednesday, April 13, 2022 at The Landings in Douglas, Georgia following an extended illness. Mrs. Leverette was born on December 2, 1935 in Dodge County, Georgia to the late Clark Harrell and Maggie Christine Sanford Harrell.

 

 

Survivors include: One Daughter; Bobbie Denise Paulk (Dan) of Ambrose, GA, Two Sons; Felton Clark Leverette (Dinah) of Ambrose, GA, Britt Leverette (Edy) of Willacoochee, GA, Two Sisters; Sara Ann Walker of Alma, GA, Patricia Harrell Holland of Savannah, GA, 11 Grandchildren; 12 Great Grandchildren; and one Great Great Grandchild. Mrs. Leverette was preceded in death by: Husband; Bobby Leverette, One Daughter; Christina Lee Leverette, One Sister; Montyne Harrell Bisher, and Parents; Clark Harrell and Maggie Christine Sanford Harrell.

 

 

The family will receive friends on Friday, April 15, 2022, from 10:00AM until 11:00AM, at New Hope Baptist Church in Ambrose, Georgia.

 

 

Funeral Services will be held on Friday, April 15, 2022, at 11:00AM, at New Hope Baptist Church with Rev. George Carroll Paulk and Rev. James Anthony officiating. The interment will follow the service at the church cemetery. Active Pallbearers will be: Huntington Smith, Walker Smith, Seth Ables, Malcolm Davis, Chan Grantham, Steven Merritt, Felton Harper, Ty Leverette, and Griphyn Harper. Honorary Pallbearers will be: The Landings Staff, Emory Walker, Jane Carver, Jeanie Sweat, Gene Wade, Richard Walker, Eric Besher, Sid Cottingham, Tammy Merritt, Dana Walker, Ronda Pease, Patsy Jowers, Dennis Paulk, Sherry Carver, Meg Adams and the Coffee County School Board.

 

 

Sims Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
