Mr. Joe Ben Corbitt, age 76 of Douglas, passed away Saturday evening, April 9, 2022 at St. Joseph’s/Candler Hospital in Savannah, GA following an extended illness. Mr. Corbitt was born September 2, 1945 to the late Wilbur Corbitt and the late Elsie Barnes Corbitt.

 

 

Mr. Corbitt, a native of Coffee County, GA, had been a self-employed truck driver for many years. He was a veteran of the United States Army. Mr. Corbitt was of the Baptist faith, however he attended Southview Church of God.

 

 

Survivors include:

 

 

2 Cousins: Pam Barnes Smith of Ambrose, GA
Bobby Barnes of Broxton, GA

 

 

A memorial service will be held at a later date.

 

 

Memorialization will be by cremation.

 

 

Ricketson Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
