Shirley F. Kight, age 85, of Ambrose, Georgia passed away on Monday, April 11, 2022, at home following an extended illness. Mrs. Kight was born on August 31, 1936, in Ocilla, GA to Elijah Fussell and Jessie Williams Fussell.

 

 

Survivors include: Daughter: Pam Turk and Fiance Jeff Stalvey of Ambrose, GA, Grandson: Jay Turk of Ambrose, GA, Grandson: Elijah Turk of Ambrose, GA, Sister-in-Law: Lureen Fussell of Ambrose, GA, Nieces and Nephews: Linda Strandridge, Marie McKinnon and Clinton, Gary and Robin Vickers, Lamar and Sandra Fussell, Twyla and David Carter, Tanetta and Roger Blanton. Preceded in death by: Husband: Alan Jones Kight, Parents: Elijah and Jessie W. Fussell, Brother: Bernie Fussell, Sister: Matilda Vickers and Alton, Sister: Loraine Vickers and Alvin and Son in law: James Turk.

 

 

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, April 12, 2022 from 6:00PM to 9:00PM at Sims Funeral Home.

 

 

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, April 13, 2022 at 4:00PM Westwood Baptist Church with Rev. George Carroll Paulk, Rev. Jack Chaney officiating. Interment will follow at Vickers Rural Cemetery. Active Pallbearers are: Lamar Fussell, Adam Vickers, Ben Vickers, Scott Standridge, Dusty Carter, David Carter, and Ashely Blanton. Honorary Pallbearers are Jack Williams M.D., Deacons at Westwood, Mark Dill, Dr. H.P. Nair and Mrs. Nirmala Nair, Dr. David Arnett and Kim Arnett, and Dr. Mark Brulte and Amanda Brulte.

 

 

Sims Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
