Susie Oweeda Moore, age 87, of Nicholls, Georgia passed away on Wednesday, April 13, 2022, at Coffee Regional Medical Center following a brief illness. Mrs. Moore was born on May 24, 1934, in Appling County to Harville Ellis Hattaway and Lizzie Rebecca Hart.

 

 

Survivors include: Daughter: Wanda (Wayne) Shook of Nicholls, GA, Son: Jimmy (Grace) Moore of Wrightsville, GA, Sister: Margie (Emmett) Griffin of Bartow, FL, Brother: Donnie (Dorothy) Hattaway of Brunswick, GA, Seven Grandchildren: Shane (Brittany) Shook of Douglas, GA, Shannon (Kelly) Shook, Daniel (Mollie) Moore of Georgetown, KY, Louisa (Chris) Moore Goodwill of Douglas, GA, Drew (Lesley) Shook of Axson, GA, Megan (Ryan) Shook Solomon of Douglas, GA, and Katie (Nik) Moore Antczak of Waycross, GA, Great Grandchildren: Maddox, Avery, Ava, Brady, Elias, Allie, Anna, Syndal, Addison, Harley, Aria, Stetson, and Liam. Mrs. Moore is also survived by her Sister in law: Faye Hattaway, and her Brother in law Monroe Foster. Mrs. Moore was preceded in death by her Parents: Harville Ellis Hattaway and Lizzie Rebecca Hart, her Husband: E.D. Moore Jr., and Siblings: Edward Hattaway, Orbie Harden, Eleanor Joiner, Jimmy Hattaway, and Nadine Foster.

 

 

The family will receive friends on Friday April, 15, 2022 at Sims Funeral Home, from 7:00PM to 9:00PM.

 

 

Funeral services will be held on Saturday April, 16, 2022, at 2:00PM, at LDS Church in Douglas, GA with Bishop Michael Jackson officiating. The Interment will follow at Cummorah Cemetery. Active Pallbearers will be: Shane Shook, Shannon Shook, Drew Shook, Daniel Moore, Ryan Solomon, and Chris Goodwill.

 

 

 

Sims Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
