Sherry Ann Griffin Stevens, age 77, of Ambrose, Georgia, passed away on Thursday, April 21, 2022 at her residence following an extended illness. Mrs. Stevens was born on April 20, 1945, in Coffee County, Georgia, to the late Hubert Lee Griffin and Dessie Maude Mullis Griffin.

 

 

Survivors include: Son, Richard (Jeanna) Stevens of Ambrose, GA, Son, Michael  Stevens of Ambrose, GA, Grandchildren, Matthew (Kristen) Stevens of West Mansfield, OH, Christopher Stevens of Marysville, OH, Brent Stevens of Douglas, GA, Brian Stevens of Douglas, GA. She was also survived by several Nieces and Nephews, and  several great-grandchildren She was preceded in death by: Husband, James G. Stodghill,  Father, Hubert Lee Griffin; Mother, Dessie Maude Mullis Griffin; Son, Christopher Stevens; and a Sister, Louise Cox.

 

 

Graveside funeral services will be held on Monday, April 25, 2022, at 4:00pm, at St. Illa Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Cliff Kirkland officiating. Active Pallbearers will be: Brandon Bass, Chris Stevens, Chris Swinehart, Gary Wooten, Ricky Burch, and Troy Prescott. Honorary Pallbearers will be Darrell  Merritt, John Bussey, LaRay Griffin, and Hunter Stevens.

 

 

The family will receive friends for visitation  Monday, April 25, 2022 from 3:00pm to 4:00pm at Sims Funeral Home.

 

 

After graveside service family and friends will gather at her home in Ambrose.

 

 

Sims Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
