Elizabeth Russ, age 97, of Pearson, Georgia, passed away on Friday, April 29, 2022 at her  son’s residence near Pearson, Georgia  following an extended illness. Mrs. Russ was born on June 6, 1924, in Coffee County, Georgia, to the late Charlie Harper and Easter Pridgen Harper.

 

 

Survivors include: Two Sons; Harry Russ (Judy) of Pearson, GA, Larry Russ (Velma) of Willacoochee, GA, Two Daughters;  Gail Russ Vickers of Willacoochee, GA, Joan Russ Walker (Bruce) of Waycross, Ga, Grandchildren; Matthew Russ, Lori Russ Howard, Jennifer Russ Davis, Stephanie Russ Barber, Charlie Russ, Jeremy Russ, Dakota Russ, Curt Russ, Angel Russ, Jill Vickers McEachin, Wendy Vickers Mercer, Jerad Walker, Anna Walker, Twenty-Two Great Grandchildren,  Six Great-Great Grandchildren, along with several Nieces, Nephews, Cousins, and Friends. Mrs. Russ was preceded in death by: Her Husband; S.M. Russ,  Three Sisters; Vernell Harper Russ, Vera Harper Carver, and Joan Cecile Harper.

 

 

The family will receive friends on Sunday, May 1, 2022, from 6:00PM until 9:00PM, at Sims Funeral Home.

 

 

Funeral services will be held on Monday, May 2, 2022, at 2:00 PM, at the Chapel of Sims Funeral Home with Rev. Walt Deloach officiating along with special remarks from Harry Russ and Matthew Russ. The interment will follow the service at the Douglas City Cemetery. Active Pallbearers will be: Charlie Russ, Jeremy Russ, Curt Russ, Matthew Russ, Carson Mercer, and Josh Davis.

 

 

Sims Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
