Frances Nannette Register Trowell (June 23, 1934 – May 5, 2022) was born in Dublin, Georgia to the late Roy Benjamin Register and Sara Frances Garner Register and graduated from Bessie Tift and Valdosta State Colleges. Mrs. Trowell taught students in grades 2 through 12 in Coffee County Schools for 30 years.  She enjoyed her time spent as a 15-year Coffee Regional Medical Auxiliary volunteer and as a member since 1958 of Douglas First United Methodist Church.

 

 

Surviving family members include her husband, Chris Trowell; children Nan Brown of Johns Creek, GA, Tina (Tom) Whittingslow of Neptune Beach, FL, and Sam (Sandy) Trowell of Valdosta, GA; grandchildren Joseph (Laura) Rawlins, Sara (Brian) Rawlins Hughley, Harrison Brown, Christopher Brown, Will Rawlins, and Hannah Trowell; great-grandson Rowen Rawlins and a number of nieces, nephews, and cousins. 

 

 

She and her family request in lieu of flowers that memorial donations be sent to First United Methodist Church, 311 N. Madison Ave, Douglas, GA 31533 or to a charity of the donor’s choice.

 

 

The family will receive friends on Saturday, May 7, 2022, from 3 PM until 4 PM, at First United Methodist Church of Douglas, Georgia at 311 North Madison Avenue, Douglas, GA.  Funeral Services will be held there on Saturday, May 7, 2022, at 4 PM with Rev. James Sapp officiating.

 

 

 

Memorialization will be by cremation.

 

 

Obituary was submitted by the family.

 

 

Sims Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
