City of Douglas Mayor, Tony Paulk, joined Coffee Regional Medical Center CEO, Vicki Lewis, and caregivers on the front lawn of Coffee Regional to present a proclamation recognizing May as National Nurse’s Month with the theme “You Make a Difference” to celebrate the bravery and contributions to the health and safety of our community. National Nurse’s Month will be observed to thank nurses for their many contributions to the health and wellbeing of residents in our region, with special recognition of their valiant efforts during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Mayor Paulk also signed a proclamation on the Coffee Regional Medical Center campus recognizing May 8-14, 2022 as National Hospital Week. The proclamation declares this week as a time to thank all hospital workers for their service to the community. This year’s theme, “We Are Healthcare,” celebrates the hard work and dedication to providing exceptional care to Douglas-Coffee County and beyond, by all the team members of Coffee Regional Medical Center.

Despite the challenges of the pandemic, CRMC’s caregivers have continued to bring compassionate and attentive care to hospitalized and non-hospitalized patients in our community. National Hospital Week, celebrated nationwide, recognizes caregivers, physicians, and healthcare leaders for building and sustaining trustworthy and reliable healthcare facilities and providing expert medical care to their communities. Nursing and clinical leaders at CRMC have planned for food, fun and blessings on the hospital campus over the next several days to thank all team members.
