Sentencing continues for defendants who were charged in Operation Sandy Bottom, a case that swept through Coffee County and nabbed nearly 50 defendants.

In the last week of April, six more defendants and their attorneys appeared in front of the judge to learn their fate.

The following sentences were handed down by the federal judge:

Anthony Qashawn Killiebrew, a/k/a, “Luk”, of Douglas, was sentenced to 151 months in federal prison for his role under the direction of the conspiracy leadership. This sentence will run consecutive to any state charges and probation time that is pending.
Ellis Lowe Jr, a/k/a “Bukk”, of Douglas, was sentenced to 21 months in federal prison with credit for the time he has served in state custody.
Reggie Raynard Johnson, a/k/a, “Twin”, of Douglas, was sentenced to 34 months in federal prison for his part in the conspiracy.
Nathan Fabron Irving, a/k/a, “Nate”, of Forsyth, sentenced to 40 months in federal prison for his role. Any state charges or probation will run consecutive to his federal sentence. At the time of this investigation, Irving was an inmate in Wheeler County Prison, smuggling contraband into the facility with other co-conspirators using compromised prison guards.
Alfonzo Jerrod Brewton, of Douglas, sentenced to 120 months in federal prison to run consecutive with his current state charges and any probation time.
Richard Young, of Hazlehurst, sentenced to time served. Young has been in custody since his initial arrest on December 2019, when federal and local authorities intercepted him and a co-conspirator in Jeff Davis County returning from Atlanta with five kilograms of Mexican ice.

When each defendant completes their sentence, they will be on supervised release. There is no parole in the federal system.
