Charles ‘Chuck’ Herbert Elder Jr., 74

Charles “Chuck” Herbert Elder Jr., age 74, of Douglas, Georgia passed away on Friday, May 13, 2022 at Coffee Regional Medical Center following an extended illness. Mr. Elder was born on April 9, 1948 in Douglas, Georgia to the late Charles Elder Sr. and Mildred Moore Elder.

Survivors include: One Son; Chad Elder (Lee Anna) of Athens, GA, One Daughter; Beatrice Elder Kaiser (Ken) of Athens, GA, One Sister; Deborah Elder Moffet  of Douglas, GA, and Six Grandchildren; Elizabeth Elder, Madeline Elder, Ellen Marie Elder, Quinn Moore, Isiah Moore, and London More. He is also survived by several Nieces, Nephews, and Cousins. Mr. Elder was preceded in death by his parents, Charles Elder Sr. and Mildred Moore Elder.

 

Graveside services will be held on Thursday, May 19, 2022, at 11:00AM, at the Douglas City Cemetery with Rev. Walt Deloach officiating. Active Pallbearers will be: Howard Kennedy, Jack Moffet, Lawton Thomas, and Michael Deloach.

Sims Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
