Mr. Lamar Zanders age 69 of Douglas, passed away Tuesday afternoon, May 24, 2022 at Tift Regional Medical Center in Tifton, GA. Mr. Zanders was born August 25, 1952 to the late Herbert Zanders and the late Eliza Zanders; 2 Brothers: Bradford Zanders and Billy Wayne Zanders and 2 Sisters: Mary Francis Davis and Glenda Faye Hartly. 

 

 

Mr. Zanders, a native of Coffee County, was an auto mechanic with Reggie’s Auto Repair. He was of the Baptist faith. 

 

 

Survivors Include: 

 

 

Daughters: Jennifer Zanders and Stacy Zanders both of Nashville, GA 

 

 

Grandchildren: LaJacqalyn Floyd, Calvin Scott and Kelsey Powell. 

 

 

9 Great Grandchildren 

 

 

Sister: Vernell Maddox and husband Howard of Douglas, GA 

 

 

Brothers: Jackie Zanders and Alonza Zanders both of Douglas, GA 

 

 

Several nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends 

 

 

The memorial service will be Tuesday afternoon, May 31, 2022 at 5:00 PM at Chapel of Ricketson Funeral Home.  The family will receive friends on Tuesday beginning at 4:00 PM May 31, 2022.until 5;00 PM, the time of the service, at Chapel of Ricketson Funeral Home. 

 

 

Memorialization is by cremation. 

 

 

Ricketson Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
