The new Johnson Aquatic Center is now open.  The Parks and Recreation Department has worked on a schedule that will allow for two sessions for Open Swim. Admission to the pool/splash pad area during open swim will be $5 per person per session.

Open Swim Session 1 will be Mondays and Wednesdays from 1:00pm – 3:00pm and Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays from 1:00pm – 3:15pm.  Session 2 for Open Swim will be Mondays and Wednesdays 3:15pm – 5:00pm and Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays from 3:45pm – 6:00pm. Admission to the pool/splash pad area during open swim will be $5.00 per person per session.

The pool/splash pad capacity is based upon the number of lifeguards. Due to safety purposes, when there are not enough lifeguards to open the pool or pool capacity is met; the pool/splash pad will close.  When lightening or thunderstorms occur, the pool/splash pad will close and all occupants must leave the pool area.

As in the past, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays from 6:30pm-8:30pm will be reserved for Splash Parties (private).  Splash Parties may be booked through the Parks and Recreation Department by calling (912) 384-5978.

The pool/splash pad will be closed every Monday from 8am-11am for maintenance, on June 13 for a swim meet, and on the dates of July 2-4, 2022 for July 4th weekend.

For more information regarding the swimming pool or Splash Pad, please contact the Douglas-Coffee County Parks and Recreation Department at (912)384-5978.
