Mrs. Jo Ann Bridges Rozar, age 89 of Douglas, passed away early Thursday morning, June 16, 2022 at Coffee Regional Medical Center following an extended illness. Mrs. Rozar was born January 21, 1933 to the late Joseph Jackson “Joe” and Louise Hursey Bridges. Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband: Bobby Claxton Rozar; 1 Daughter: Charlotte Duckworth; 4 Brothers: Jack Bridges, Larry Bridges, Don Bridges and Joey Bridges; 1 Grandchild: Eric Smith. 

 

 

Mrs. Rozar, a native of Coffee County (Broxton), was a retired RN with Coffee Regional Medical Center having worked 40 plus years with them. She was a dedicated member of Morningside Baptist Church. 

 

 

Survivors include: 

 

 

4 children: Johnny Rozar and wife Gerri of Broxton, GA 

Ricky Rozar and wife Val of Axson, GA 

Sharon Stone and husband Craig of Pearson, GA 

Susan McRae and husband Paul of Hahira, GA 

 

 

5 Grandchildren: Chris Rozar and wife Shannon of Douglas, GA 

Kristin Harper and husband Calan of Wray, GA 

Bran Stone and wife Ashlin of Douglas, GA 

Logan McRae of Hahira, GA 

Alyssa McRae of Hahira, GA 

 

 

Several Great Grandchildren 

 

 

A number of nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends. 

 

 

The funeral service will be held Saturday morning, June 18, 2022 at 11:00 AM at Morningside Baptist Church with Rev. Chip Woodruff officiating. The interment will follow at Rocky Pond Cemetery. 

 

 

In lieu of flowers, the family request that donations be made to Morningside Baptist Church. 

 

 

The family will receive friends Saturday morning, June 18, 2022 from 10:00 AM until 11 AM at Morningside Baptist Church. 

 

 

Ricketson Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
