Ms. Athel Inez Ashe, age 86, of Douglas, passed away July 17, 2022 at Southern Senior Living in Douglas after living a long happy life. Mrs. Ashe was born December 25, 1935 to the late John Hill Jones and the late Wilma Nell Bennett Jones. 

 

 

Ms. Ashe, a long time resident of Douglas and Coffee County, was a waitress in food service for many years. 

 

 

Survivors include: 

 

 

3 Children: Clyde Howell of Douglas, GA 

Johnny Ashe of Palmdale, CA 

Lisa Marks of Visalia, CA 

 

 

5 Grandchildren 

 

 

6 Great Grandchildren 

 

 

Many Cousins and a host of Friends 

 

 

Memorialization will be by cremation. 

 

 

The celebration of life service for Mrs. Ashe will be held Tuesday, July 26, 2022 at 11:00 AM at Sweetwater United Methodist Church Cemetery in Atkinson County. 

 

 

Ricketson Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
