Shirlene Waldron Davis, age 85, of Douglas, Georgia passed away on Saturday, July 30, 2022. 

 

 

Mrs. Davis was born on August 4, 1936, in Douglas, GA to the late Marvin Waldron and the late Pearlie Carver Waldron.

 

 

Survivors include; Two Daughters: Lisa Davis of Douglas, GA and Rachel Davis of Douglas, GA, Son: Samuel (Debbie) Davis of Douglas, GA, Three Grandchildren: Abram Hersey, Emily  Cribb and Hannah Cribb, Four Great Grandchildren: Amelia Ward, Owen Gonzalez, Beau Hersey and Remy Hersey. Sister: Ruth (Charles) Adams and Several Nieces and Nephews. She was preceded in death by: Father: Marvin Waldron, Mother: Pearlie Carver Waldron, Husband: Rev. Roy Davis, Sister: Ruby Kirkland, Brother: Wendell Waldron.

 

 

The family will receive friends Wednesday, August 3, 2022 from 10:00AM to 11:00AM at Sims Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, August 3, 2022 at 11:00AM at the Chapel of Sims Funeral Home with Rev. Scott Smith, Rev. W. R. Connell, Dr. Arvind D’Silva and Curtis Harper Jr. officiating. Interment followed at Douglas City Cemetery. Pianist will be Don Harrell. Active Pallbearers will be: Keith Waldron, John Adams, Brian Waldron, Terry Fussell, Freddie Davis Jr. and Dan Varnedore

 

 

Due to COVID-19, Sims Funeral Home Inc. highly encourages all guests and attendees to wear face masks and maintain social distancing at all times while visiting our facility, and highly encouraged at our services outside of our facility
