Karen Kay Gillis, age 62, of Douglas, Georgia passed away on Wednesday, August 3, 2022. Ms. Gillis was born on September 17, 1959, in Douglas, GA to the late Edward Gillis and the late Betty Ruth Jackson Gillis.

 

 

Survivors include: Daughter: Paula Landon, Grandchildren: Noah Meek, Kayla Meek, Nephew: Kevin Manning. She was Preceded in death by: Father: Edward` Gillis and Mother: Betty Ruth Jackson Gillis; Friend: Henry Clifford Self, Daughter: Alicia Dike, Sister: Kathy Hattaway .

 

 

The family will receive friends Monday, August 8, 2022 from 10:30 AM to 11:00 AM at Sims Funeral Home.

 

 

Graveside services will be held on Monday, August 8, 2022 at 11:00 AM Douglas City Cemetery with Bishop Tom Rice officiating. Interment followed at Douglas City Cemetery.

 

 

Sims Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

 

 

Due to COVID-19, Sims Funeral Home Inc. will require all guests and attendees to wear appropriate medical grade face masks and maintain social distancing at all times while visiting our facility, and highly encouraged at our services outside of our facility. Masks are not provided.
