Laure Michelle Sumpter, age 44, of Pike Road, Alabama, passed away on Friday, August 12, 2022. Laure was born June 16, 1978 in Tampa, Florida to the late Paul Sumpter and Melba Sumpter.

 

 

Survivors include: Mother: Melba Sumpter, Two Brothers: Richard Craig Gainey and twin brother Lorin Sumpter, Son: Grayson Sumpter, and several Nieces and Nephews. She was preceded in death by: Father: Paul Sumpter.

 

 

A graduate of Lee High School and a big Auburn fan, she will be remembered as a great mom who loved her son and as a wonderfully supportive daughter who looked after her mother.

 

 

A family and friends visitation for Laure will be held Friday, August 19, 2022 at 5:00 PM at Leak Memory Chapel, 945 Lincoln Road, Montgomery, Alabama 36109. A celebration of life chapel service will follow at 6:00 PM.

 

 

A graveside committal will occur Saturday, August 20, 2022 at 2:00PM at Roberts Cemetery, 1448 Roberts Cemetery Road, Nicholls, GA 31554.

 

 

Sims Funeral Home is in charge of the graveside committal.
