Mrs. Janell Spivey Paulk, age 90 of West Green, passed away early Monday morning, August 8, 2022 at Coffee Regional Medical Center following a short illness. Mrs. Paulk was born April 26, 1932 to the late William Spivey and the late Gladys Harper Spivey. Other than her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Quinton Paulk and 6 Siblings Ineva Harper, Lee Spivey, Frances Harper, Thurman Spivey, Earnestine Dupree and Carroll Spivey.
Mrs. Paulk, a native of Coffee County, was a homemaker but she had also worked at Sunbelt for 10 years and a flower transplanter. She loved to cook and work in her flowers. She was a member of Burkett Baptist Church where she had been the clerk for more than 20 years. Mr. and Mrs. Paulk had celebrated their 73 wedding anniversary before his death in 2021.

The funeral service will be held Wednesday afternoon, August 10, 2022 at 2:00 PM at Burkett Baptist Church with Rev. George Carroll Paulk and Rev. Jerry Chancey officiating. The interment will follow in Burkett Cemetery with Rev. Scott Smith conducting the graveside service.
The family will receive friends, Wednesday afternoon, August 10, 2022 from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM at Burkett Baptist Church.
Active Pallbearers for the service will be: Ron Johnson, Michael Ellis, Jake Johnson, Matthew Ellis, J. P. Harper, Ethan Carter, Michael Pittman and Jesse Bowen.
Music will be furnished by Janie Ruth and Glynn Vaughn singing “In the Garden” and “Long, Long, Journey.”
Due to COVID, attendees are asked to observe six foot social distancing at the visitation, funeral service and interment. Please wear your mask for safety precautions and in accordance with CDC guidelines.
