Ronald Wood, age 77, of Denton, Georgia passed away on Friday, August 19, 2022. Mr. Wood was born on January 7, 1945, in Hazlehurst, GA to the late Tom Wood and the late Willie Pearl Ussery Wood.

 

 

Survivors include: Wife: Grace Partin Wood of Denton, GA, Daughter: Elaine (Jimmy) Douglas of Denton, GA, Son: Ronald Lamar (Susie) Wood of Hazlehurst, GA, Three Grandchildren: Kevin Hand of Denton, GA, Jessica  (Robert) Highsmith of Denton, GA, Ronnie Wood of Hazlehurst, GA, Seven Great Grandchildren: Allie Wood, Taylor Douglas, Kelsey Highsmith, Brody Highsmith, Gracie Highsmith, Jaxson Highsmith, Ansley Bradley, Two Step-Grandchildren: Janice Durrance and Stephanie Landeros. He was preceded in death by: Father: Tom Wood and Mother: Willie Pearl Ussery Wood.

 

 

The family will receive friends Tuesday, August 23, 2022 from 10:00AM to 11:00AM at Sims Funeral Home.

 

 

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, August 23, 2022 at 11:00AM Mount Pleasant (Byrd) Church with Rev. Kevin Fennell, Bro. Heath Carver officiating. Interment followed at Mount Pleasant “Byrd” Baptist Church Cemetery.

 

 

Due to COVID-19, Sims Funeral Home Inc. highly encourages all guests and attendees to wear face masks and maintain social distancing at all times while visiting our facility, and highly encouraged at our services outside of our facility.
