Mrs. Vonice Courson Mobley, age 91 of Douglas, GA passed away at home in Coffee County, GA on August 13, 2022. She was born May 23, 1931 to the late Clera Courson and the late Lila Mae Peterson Courson. Other than her parents, she was preceded in death her husband Alex Mobley, 1 brother: Danny Courson and 1 sister: Vivian Courson.
Mrs. Mobley, a native of Coffee County, was married Alex Mobley on August 17, 1946 in Broxton, GA. They were married for almost 76 years. Alex passed away February 10, 2022.

Children: Larry Mobley (Linda) of Douglas, GA
Bonnie Redmond of Tallahassee, FL
Also survived by Grandchildren, Phillip (Angel) Mobley, Patrick Mobley, Neil Mobley, Rebecca Redmond and Andrew Redmond.
Great-Grandchildren: Kristen Nicolas, Phillip Mobley, Jr. and Scott Mobley (Taylor)
Great-Great-Grandchildren: Alyssa Nicolas, Landon Nicolas, Addison Nicolas and Blake Mobley
Vonice is also survived by her sister Faye Smith and a brother David Courson and many loving cousins, nieces and nephews.
Vonice and Alex lived many years in Jacksonville, FL before moving back to Coffee County about twenty-five years ago. She enjoyed her art, sewing and flowers.
The graveside service will be held Thursday afternoon, August 18, 2022 a 1:00 PM at Lone Hill Cemetery with Pastor Walt DeLoach presiding and Pastor Chris Watson presenting a prayer.
The family will receive friends, Wednesday evening, August 17, 2022 from 6:30 PM until 8:00 PM at Ricketson Funeral Home.
Active Pallbearers for the service will be: Phillip Mobley, Sr., Patrick Mobley, Neil Mobley, Rebecca Redmond, Andrew Redmond, and Phillip Mobley, Jr. An honorary pallbearer will be Darlene Davis.
