Megan Leigh Daniel Rich, 41, of Summerville, SC, unexpectedly passed away.

Family and friends are invited to a gathering on Thursday, August 25, 2022 from 10: 00 am to 12:00 pm at James A. Dyal Funeral Home. A celebration of life will follow at 12:00 pm. There will also be a memorial service in Douglas, GA, at a later date.

Megan was born on April 20, 1981 in Statesboro, Ga, daughter of the late Carl “Danny” Daniel, Jr of Douglas, GA. and Catherine Deborah Culpepper Maccario of Walterboro, SC. Megan was a 1999 graduate of Coffee High School in Douglas, GA and earned an AA Degree from Florida State College at Jacksonville. She was a Licensed Insurance Sales Representative in Florida and was currently in the Hospitality Industry. Megan loved being around family and friends but most of all she enjoyed her time with her children, Riley and Margaret. Megan had an infectious smile that lit up any room and never met a stranger. She loved music, she loved life and she loved the ones close to her. She was a beautiful and very bright light that was taken too soon.

Survivors, in addition to her mother, Catherine “Debbie” and step-father, Albert Maccario, include: Children: Riley Lloyd Rich and Margaret Rose; Siblings: Morgan Edwin Hewitt III and Catherine Denise Brigmond (Eric); Niece and Nephews: Andrew Morgan Hewitt, Harry Daniel Brigmond and Catherine Georgia Brigmond.

James A. Dyal Funeral Home of Summerville, SC., is in charge of the arrangements.
