Mrs. Rebecca “Becky” Cecile Burcham Taylor, age 65 of Douglas, GA, passed away Saturday afternoon, August 27, 2022 at her residence following an extended illness. Becky was born April 27, 1957 to the late N. C. Burcham and the late Velma Bytherine Knight Burcham. Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by 3 Siblings: Robby Burcham, Roy Burcham and Delora Headley: 1 Special Friend: Geneva Carter. 

 

 

Mrs. Taylor, a native of Douglas, GA, had been a Department Manager for Walmart for 26 years before retiring. She had attended Douglas Christian Fellowship and was a member of First Assembly of God where she had been the pianist for the church for 52 years. 

 

 

Survivors include: 

 

 

Her Husband: Gary L. Taylor of Douglas, GA 

 

 

1 Son: Wesley C. Taylor and wife Sarah of Douglas, GA 

 

 

4 Siblings: Jan Seay of Scottsville, KY 

Rejetta Brooks and husband Gene of Booneville, MS 

Sue Owens and husband Larry of Booneville, MS 

Judy Peacock and husband Latraina of Douglas, GA 

 

 

1 Sister-in-Law: Blanche Burcham of Waynesville, GA 

 

 

3 Grandchildren: Kasey Taylor, Noah Bagley and Terry L. Taylor, all of Douglas, GA 

 

 

3 Great Grandchildren: Paisley Taylor, Brynleigh Taylor Kirkland and Acelynn Bagley all of Douglas, GA 

 

 

3 Special Friends: Betty Woods of Waycross, GA 

Olene Harper of Douglas, GA 

Lena Mae McQuaig of Douglas, GA 

 

 

Several Nieces, Nephews, Cousins and Many Friends 

 

 

The funeral service will be held Wednesday morning, August 31, 2022 at 11:00 AM at First Assembly of God with Rev. Marshall Adcock and Rev. Jerrol Taylor officiating. The interment will follow in Salem Cemetery. 

 

 

The family will receive friends Tuesday evening, August 30, 2022 from 6:00 PM until 9:00 PM at Ricketson Funeral Home. 

Active Pallbearers for the service will be: Jacob Thompson, Noah Bagley, Terry Taylor, Luke Merritt, Wayne Burcham, Casey Thompson and Britt Mizell. 

 

 

Due to COVID-19, attendees are asked to observe six foot social distancing at the visitation, funeral service and interment. Please wear your mask for safety precautions.
