The Lady Trojans knocked off a couple of rivals last week with a 3-2 win over 7A Tift and an 11-0 win over region foe Ware, both at Faircloth Field.

In the Tift game Erin Robinson got the win striking out 7 through 5 innings and Karlee Thomas picked up a save with 2 innings of work. Erin Robinson also had a pair of hits but the difference was a 3-run homer by freshman Karlee Thomas to seal it. Hannah Capps, Hanna Hutchison, Morgan Hodges, Kaci Thacker, and Imori Paulk also had a hit each.

The Lady Trojans were back in region action with an 11-0 win over the Lady Gators in an offensive explosion. Hannah Capps homered twice including a grand slam and Morgan Hodges added 3 hits. Kaci Thacker, Ella Winters, and Karlee Thoams all chipped in 2 hits. Imani Paulk and Erin Robinson picked up a hit apiece also for the Lady Trojans. Erin Robinson again continued to dominate striking out 12 in the win and scattering only 2 hits in 5 innings.

“These girls have a chance to do something really special this year. Great pitching, great defense, and timely hitting is a great formula and they come to the park ready to play,” stated head coach Stan Hughes.
