Mr. Miguel Angel Contreras, age 49 of Pearson, GA passed away Tuesday morning, September 27, 2022 at his residence following an extended illness. Mr. Contreras was born October 26, 1972 to Mr. Jose Contreras and Mrs. Escolastica Sanchez. He was preceded in death by a son: Miguel Angel Contreras, Jr., and a daughter: Araceli Contreras. 

 

 

Mr. Contreras was a native of Mezquital, Durango, Mexico. He was a well respected and beloved deputy sheriff of Coffee County. He was a member of St. Paul Catholic Church. 

 

 

Survivors include: 

 

 

His wife: Eva Morales Contreras of Pearson, GA 

 

 

Daughter: Melanie M. Contreras of Pearson, GA 

 

 

Son: Gabriel I. Contreras of Pearson, GA 

 

 

Mother: Escolastica Contreras of Willacoochee, GA 

 

 

Father: Jose Contreras of Alturas, FL 

 

 

Siblings: Guadalupe Contreras of Willacoochee, GA 

Magdalena Contreras of Willacoochee, GA 

Antonio Contreras of Douglas, GA 

Jose E. Contreras of Willacoochee, GA 

 

 

Several Nieces, Nephews, Cousins and Many Friends 

 

 

The funeral service for Mr. Contreras will be held Tuesday, October 4, 2022 at 12:00 Noon at St. Paul Catholic Church with Father Paul O’Connell officiating. The interment will follow at Holy Family Catholic Cemetery in Atkinson County . 

 

 

The family will receive friends Monday evening , October 3, 2022 from 6:00 to 9:00 PM at Covenant Christian Church. 

 

 

Ricketson Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
