Dorothy Sears Cliett, age 90, of Denton, Georgia, passed away on Sunday, October 16, 2022. Ms. Cliett was born on October 19, 1931, in Coffee County, GA to the late Stanford Sears and the late Margaret McMillian Sears.

 

 

Survivors include: Daughter: Angela (Earl) Cliett Carter of Denton, GA, Daughter in law: Diane Cliett Lankford, Eight Grandchildren: Christy Walters of Denton, GA, Michael (Mandy) Carter of Dallas, GA, Marci (Matthew) Schell of Denton, GA, Bradley F. (Angie) Cliett IV  of AL, Amanda Barfield, Julie Graham of Palatka, FL, Temple Ann (Ron) Duncan of TN, Bonnie Waygand of AL, and a host of Great Grandchildren, Great Great Grandchildren, Nieces, Nephews and a very special Family: Lane and Mary Burnett of Jacksonville, FL along with their children: Tori, Caitlin and Brie, that she loved as her own family.

 

 

She was preceded in death by: Father: Stanford Sears, Mother: Margaret McMillian Sears, Two Brothers and their wives: Bryan (Mae) Sears, Charles Hampton (Ida Ann) Byrd, Three Sisters and their husbands: Nellie S. (Carl) Chaires, Helen S. (Hermon S.) Henderson, Geraldine S. (Howard) Johnson, Husband: Bradley F. Cliett Jr., Two Sons and one Daughter in law: Bradley F. (Lois) Cliett III, Marcus Stanford Cliett, Grandson in law: Wade Walters, Infant Twins: Donald Cliett, Deborah Cliett and close Friend: Harvey McKinnon.

 

 

The family will receive friends Wednesday, October 19, 2022 from 10:00AM to 11:00AM at College Ave Baptist Church.

 

 

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, October 19, 2022 at 11:00AM at College Avenue Baptist Church with Bro. Jimmy  Littlejohn officiating. Interment followed at Satilla Memorial Gardens. Active Pallbearers will be: Michael Carter, Matthew Schell, Caine Bagley, Caleb Bagley, Brad Cliett, Scott Snipes and Kolby Hulett.

 

 

Sims Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
