Mr. Gary Lee Johnson, age 59 of Wray, GA passed away suddenly Thursday morning, October 13, 2022 at his fishing cabin in Georgetown, GA. Mr. Johnson was born May 9, 1963 to the late Jimmie Johnson and the late Wanell Sapp Johnson. Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Peggy Joiner Johnson and a brother, Sydney Johnson. 

 

 

Mr. Johnson, a native of Coffee County, was self-employed contractor in the marble vanity top business. He was a preacher in the Calvary Holiness Association. 

 

 

Survivors include: 

 

 

His wife: Constance Rose Bowen Johnson of Wray, GA 

 

 

2 Children: Cody Johnson and wife Wendy of West Green, GA 

Lacy Murphy and husband Seth of Medford, Oregon 

 

 

2 Step-children: Amy Bellah and husband Andrew of Wray, GA 

Eric Pridgen and wife Arly of Dallas, GA 

 

 

1 Brother: Jimmie LaVan Johnson and wife Latrelle of Douglas, GA 

 

 

11 Grandchildren 

 

 

1 Niece and 1 Nephew, several cousins and many friends. 

 

 

The funeral service will be held Sunday afternoon, October 16, 2022 at 2:00 PM at Chapel of Ricketson Funeral Home with Rev. Jody Silvers, Rev. Joey Dean and Rev. Zack Padgett officiating. The interment will follow in Chatterton Cemetery. 

 

 

The family will receive friends on Saturday evening, October 15, 2022 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Ricketson Funeral Home. 

 

 

Active Pallbearers for the service will be: Ronnie Day, Nathan Nicholson, Eddie Smith, Glenn Taylor, Kyle Day and Danny Wells. 

 

 

Honorary Pallbearers for the service will be: Fred M. Smith, Jr. Pridgen, Jim Yeomans, Tommy Shrouder, Ronnie Chaney, Johnny Selph, Bruce Spell, Woody Allen and Z. T. Padgett. 

 

 

Ricketson Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements
