Johnson Funeral & Cremation Services announces the funeral service for Monroe Scott Larney,  age 72, of Douglas, who passed away Monday, October 10, 2022.

 

 

Visitation will begin at 6:00 PM until 9:00 PM Friday, October 14, 2022. Funeral services will be at 2:00 PM Sunday, October 16, 2022 at Johnson Funeral  & Cremation Services.

 

 

Interment will be in the New Hope Church Cemetery in Ambrose, Georgia.

 

 

Mr. Larney was born in Rome, New York.  He was the son of the late Ivan Ray Larney & Elizeabeth Ruth Hughes Larney and was preceded in death by a Daughter: Heather Lott; Brothers: Ivan Larney, Jr. & Asa Larney.  Mr. Larney was a member of the Lax Holiness Church.

 

 

Survivors include: Wife: Ann Larney of Douglas; Daughter: Annie Mae Fussell (Rodney D.) of Douglas; Son: Virgil Monroe Larney (Kimberly A.) of Douglas; Brothers: Frane Larney of Douglas, Chuck Larney of Jacksonville, Fla.;  Sisters: Patty Mobley of Lake Wales, Fla. & Donna Fussell of Nicholls; 9 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren; 7 nieces & 8 nephews also survive.

 

 

Active pallbearers will be: Virgil Larney, Wayne Fussell, Andrew Fussell, Wade Fussell, Clay Larney, Hunter Lott, Austin Chaney, Bud Spivey & Kevin Smalley.

 

 

Johnson Funeral & Cremation Services is in charge of the arrangements.
