Mrs. Patsy Jean Kirkland Spivey, age 74, of Nicholls, GA passed away Friday morning, October 28, 2022, at Coffee Regional Medical Center, following an extended illness. 

 

 

Mrs. Spivey was born September 4, 1948 to the late Curtis Colon “Buddy” Kirkland and the late Myrtice Harper Kirkland. Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by 6 Siblings, Geraldine Lott, Boy Kirkland, Mann Kirkland, Linda Kirkland, Bonnie Stone and Bobby “Cotton” Kirkland. 

 

 

Mrs. Spivey, a native of Coffee County, retired from the Coffee County Board of Education, having worked as a Bus Driver, Lunchroom Employee and she had also retired from Unison Behavioral Health from the State of Georgia. She was a faithful member of Anchor Fellowship Church. 

 

 

Survivors include, Her Husband of 57 years: Herbert Larry Spivey of Nicholls, GA, 

 

 

Son: Shawn Spivey and wife Hailey of Ickesburg, PA 

 

 

Daughter: Michelle Spivey and Forrest of Douglas, GA 

 

Brother: David Kirkland and wife Marlene of Douglas, GA 

 

 

Sister: Betty Sue Wilkins of Nicholls, GA 

 

 

7 Grandchildren. 

 

 

Several Nieces, Nephews, Cousins and Many Friends. 

 

 

The funeral service will be Monday afternoon, October 31, 2022, at 3:00 P. M., at Chapel of Ricketson Funeral Home with Rev. Scott Smith and Rev. Cliff Kirkland officiating. The Interment will follow in Salem Cemetery. 

 

 

The family will receive friends, Monday afternoon from 1:00 to 3:00 P. M., at Ricketson Funeral Home. 

 

 

Active Pallbearers for the service will be: Mike Faulkner, Gary Lott, Dexter Kirkland, Josh Kirkland, Jarrett Stone and Keagan Faulkner. 

 

 

Ricketson Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
