The Douglas-Coffee County Veterans Park Committee is conducting a raffle fundraiser to assist with needs for the Veterans Park located at Douglas Municipal Airport.  Each person who purchases a raffle ticket will be eligible for the chance to win a 65” Roku ONN. 4K QLED UHD Smart TV with frameless display (valued at $578.00), a $250.00 Gift Certificate to Coley Electric & Plumbing Supply, or a $100 Top Dollar Gun Shop Gift Certificate.

“Funds are needed to assist with general upkeep of the park and for our various programs throughout the year,” says Veterans Park Chairman, Jeff Hennesy. “We hope the community will support the raffle fundraiser and purchase as many tickets as possible. This is a great way to raise funds as well as give away some really nice prizes.”

The cost for the raffle ticket is $5 for one or 5 tickets for $20. To purchase a ticket, stop by the Veterans Park Committee booth at the Gopher Tortoise Festival on November 18-19, 2022. Advance tickets are available for purchase at the Douglas Airport or Ashley Slater House.  The drawing will be held at conclusion of the Gopher Tortoise Festival. You do not have to be present to win – winners will be notified by a committee member.

The Veterans Park Committee works to bring awareness to veterans and the Veterans Park that is located at Douglas Municipal Airport. Veterans Park is a tribute to all service men and women who have served in the military. The Pave-the-Way Brick Memorial still has bricks available for purchase to honor veterans. For more information, please call (912) 384-1409 or (912) 383-0277.
