GBI announces promotions at Douglas field office

The Georgia Bureau of Investigation announces the promotion of Jason Seacrist to Special Agent in Charge (SAC) of the GBI’s Region 4 Field Office in Douglas, Georgia. Jessica Hamilton has also been promoted to Assistant Special Agent in Charge (ASAC) at the same office.

 

 

SAC Seacrist will be responsible for supervision of the staff assigned to this regional field office that conducts criminal investigations within an 11-county area of operations.

 

 

SAC Seacrist began his law enforcement career with the GBI in 2011. SAC Seacrist has held assignments with the GBI as a Special Agent at the South Georgia Drug Task Force, Sylvester Drug Office, Sylvester Regional Office, and the Thomasville Regional Office. 

 

 

SAC Seacrist was promoted to Assistant Special Agent in Charge (ASAC) of the Region 4 Field Office in 2018. SAC Seacrist is a Georgia P.O.S.T. certified instructor and leads the GBI instructor team for Interviews and Interrogations.

 

 

SAC Seacrist is a veteran of the United States Navy. He graduated from Valdosta State University with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting in 2004 and received a Master of Business Administration from Robert Morris University in 2013. SAC Seacrist is currently pursuing a Master of Public Safety Administration at Columbus State University.

 

 

SAC Seacrist is from Valdosta, GA where he currently resides.

 

 

ASAC Hamilton will be responsible for assisting the Special Agent in Charge with the supervision of staff assigned to this regional field office. 

 

 

In 2009, ASAC Hamilton began her law enforcement career at the Oconee Drug Task Force in Eastman, GA. ASAC Hamilton was hired as a Special Agent with the GBI in 2011 and assigned to the Altamaha Drug Task Force. In 2012, ASAC Hamilton transitioned to field work as the crime scene specialist at the Eastman Regional Office. ASAC Hamilton continued as a crime scene specialist at the Douglas Regional Office and Kingsland Regional Office.

 

 

ASAC Hamilton graduated from the University of Georgia with a Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice and a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology in 2009. She is also a graduate of the National Forensic Academy in Knoxville, TN.

 

 

ASAC Hamilton is from Jesup, GA where she currently resides.
