Ms. Janette Moore Johns, age 98 of Acworth, GA formerly of Coffee County passed away Wednesday afternoon, November 9, 2022, at Brickmont Assisted Living Facility in Acworth, GA following an extended illness. 

 

 

Ms. Johns was born October 28, 1924 in West Green, GA to the late Clifton Moore and the late Eva Burkett Moore. Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Fred Johns, her daughter Brenda Johns, two sisters, Sanilla Welborn and Ruth Moore, two brothers, James Moore and John Moore. 

 

 

Ms. Moore, a native of Coffee County, was a member of West Ward Church of God. She had worked for Southern Bell for 40+ years in Jacksonville, FL where she was the manager. 

 

 

Survivors include: 

 

 

2 Children: Hoyt Johns and wife Jerri and a daughter Sibyl Spivey and huband Kevin. 

 

 

4 Grandchildren: Stephen Johns, Michael Johns, Kristin Spivey and Karen Meyer. 

 

 

1 Sister: Florence Anderson of West Green, GA 

 

 

Many great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. 

 

 

The funeral service will be Monday, November 14, 2022 at 11:00 AM at Chapel of Ricketson Funeral Home with Bishop Britt Peavy officiating. The interment will follow in Burkett Cemetery near West Green. 

 

 

The family will receive friends on Monday, November 14, 2022 from 10:30 AM until 11:00 AM at Chapel of Ricketson Funeral Home. 

 

 

Active Pallbearers for the service will be: Stephen Johns, Michael Johns, Ricky Lott, Kaylon Moore, Kade Moore and Dale Spivey. 

 

 

Ricketson Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
