Citizens in Douglas and Coffee County are invited to begin a season of giving by participating in the Community Toy Drive.  Public Safety Agencies, along with many local community agencies, is hosting fundraisers for the annual Community Toy Drive.

A benefit raffle for coats made by Michael Kors, Columbia, Levi’s, or Tommy Hilfiger is taking place now through December 9, 2022. A $5 donation will allow a person to be entered into a drawing that will be held on December 9 at the Douglas Police Department. Drawings will take place for jackets in the following sizes: Adult male and female 2X, XL, L, M, and S jackets which will give a person 11 chances to win a very nice jacket. Each jacket is retailed at approximately $150.00 – $250.00 You do not have to be present to win. Tickets are being sold at the Douglas Police Department.

Monetary donations are needed to help the committee continue to provide for families in our community. To make a monetary donation for the Community Toy Drive, checks should be made payable to the City of Douglas, Memo: Community Toy Drive, 211 S. Gaskin Avenue, Douglas, GA 31533.  All monetary donations collected will be used to purchase gifts for the children.

Special thanks to Southwire, The Douglas Lions Club, Spectrum, CSRA Probation Services, Douglas Police Department, Douglas Fire Department, City of Douglas, and other local businesses who have contributed to this community event.
