Courtney Shealy Nuegent, age 43, of Douglas, Georgia, passed away on Tuesday, November 22, 2022 at her residence following an extended illness. Mrs. Nuegent was born on November 27, 1978, in Coffee County, Georgia, to Troy and Bonnie Taylor.

 

 

Survivors include: Husband; Reynold Nuegent, One Son; Troy Taylor Shealy of Douglas, GA, One Daughter; Florence Marie Shealy of Douglas, GA, One Step-Daughter; Raben Drurita Hurst of Douglas, GA, Parents; Troy and Bonnie Taylor, One Brother; Christian (Jill) Taylor of Statesboro, GA, and an Uncle; Geoffry (Gerry) Powell of Newington, GA. She is also survived by several Neices, Nephews, Cousins, and Friends.

 

 

The family will receive friends on Saturday, November 26, 2022, from 1:00PM until 2:00PM, at First United Methodist Church Douglas.

 

 

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, November 26, 2022, at 2:00PM, at First United Methodist Church Douglas with Rev. James Sapp and Jeff Hennesy officiating. Interment will take place at a later date at St. Andrews Columbarium. Honorary Pallbearers will be: Members of the Coffee County School System and Staff at Coffee Middle School.

 

 

Memorialization will be by cremation.

 

 

Sims Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
