Cleveland “Cleve” Ragsdale, age 75, of Douglas, Georgia, passed away on Tuesday, December 20, 2022. Mr. Ragsdale was born on January 7, 1947, in Coffee County, GA to William Comer Ragsdale and Jewell Vandiviere Ragsdale.

 

 

Survivors include; Wife: Emily Hunter Ragsdale of Douglas, GA, Three Daughters: Amanda Scholten (Joel) of Broxton, GA, Suzanne Harper (Berry) of Douglas, GA, April Crawford (Lance) of Broxton, GA, Son: Cleveland “ Clevey” Ragsdale II (Heidi) of Garner, Iowa, Thirteen Grandchildren: Anna Grace Scholten, Bryce Scholten, Karsyn Scholten, Nash Harper, Cali Harper, Ensley Crawford, Caroline Crawford, Cohen Crawford, Lundie Crawford, Josie Ragsdale, Savannah Ragsdale, Cleveland “Trey” Ragsdale III and Jameson Ragsdale, Brother: Gerald Ragsdale (Anne) of Glenville, GA, Two Sisters: Sheryl Tuten of Bainbridge, GA, Sylia Barnhill of Prince George, VA and several Nieces and Nephews. Mr. Ragsdale was preceded in death by; Father: William Comer Ragsdale and Mother: Jewell Vandiviere Ragsdale.

 

 

The family will receive friends Monday, December 26, 2022 from 6:00PM to 8:00PM at Sims Funeral Home.

 

 

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, December 27, 2022 at 11:00 AM at  First Baptist Church with Rev. Don Hattaway and Rev. Clevey Ragsdale II officiating. Interment followed at Henderson Chapel Cemetery. Active Pallbearers will be: Chad Tuten, Scott Tuten, Conner Mann, Keith Long, Bryce Scholten, Nash Harper, and John Day. Honorary Pallbearers will be: Patrick Hunter, Jeffrey Hunter, William Hunter, Daniel Hunter, Michael Vickers and Landon Dorminy, Daryl Metts, Danny Paulk, Billy Peacock, J.L. McClelland, Arnie Bowers and Tommy Scott.

 

 

In lieu of flowers the family has asked to send donations to the Gideons.

 

 

Sims Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
