William Anthony “Tony” Fletcher, age 67, of Douglas, Georgia passed away on Tuesday, December 27, 2022, at his residence following an extended illness. Mr. Fletcher was born on April 30, 1955, in Valdosta, GA to Claude George  Fletcher, Sr. and Susie Rebecca Rykard  Fletcher.

 

 

Survivors include: Wife, Mary Elizabeth Fletcher of Douglas, GA, Daughter, Sloane (Lee) Cliett, Daughter, Madelyn Rebecca Fletcher, Son, William Alexander (Brenna) Fletcher, Grandchildren, Valorie H. Cliett, Brayden L. Istre, Carlisle E. Cliett, Adrian L. Cliett, Jr (L.J.), William Alexander Fletcher, Jr., Olivia R. Fletcher, Eleven Nieces and  Nephews, Twelve Great Nieces and  Nephews, Many  Cousins, Special Friend, D. J. Nicholson, Sister, Susan Elaine Ogburn, Brother, Claude George “Bubba” (Lou) Fletcher, Jr., Brother, Andrew “Andy” Roy (Katrina) Fletcher, Brother, Randall “Randy” Troy (Suzy) Fletcher, Sister-in-Law, Rebecca (Donnie) Mathis, Sister-in-Law, Cassie McFerrin, and one Step-Father- in- Law, Charles Phillips. 

 

 

Mr. Fletcher was preceded in death by: Father, Claude George Fletcher, Sr.; Mother, Susie Rebecca Rykard Fletcher, One Brother, Joseph Wayne Fletcher, Father-in-law Sterling McFerrin, Mother-in-law, Munda Greene McFerrin Davis Phillips; Step-Father- in- law, Harmon L. (Jack) Davis; Two Brothers-in-Law, Steve Ogburn and Heath McFerrin.

 

 

Funeral services will be held on Friday, December 30, 2022 at 2:00 pm Dasher Church of Christ with Brother Andrew Nelson officiating. Interment will follow at Dasher Cemetery.

 

 

The family will receive friends Thursday, December 29, 2022 from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm at Sims Funeral Home.

 

 

Sims Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
