Mr. Harvey Robert “Rick” Ricketson, age 84 of Douglas, GA passed away late Sunday evening, January 8, 2023 at Memorial Health Center in Savannah, GA following a short illness. Mr. Ricketson was born June 15, 1938 to the late Oscar Ricketson and the late Molly Ricketson. Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by 4 Siblings: Marvin Ricketson, Jay Ricketson, Leonard Ricketson and Carmetta Adams. 

 

 

Mr. Ricketson, a native of Coffee County, was retired from the United States Air Force after 27 years of service. He was a member of Eastside Baptist Church in Douglas. 

 

 

Survivors include: 

 

 

His wife: Anna Vaughnetta “Bonnie” Johnson Ricketson of Douglas, GA 

Daughters: Lou Little and husband Tommy of Douglas, GA 

Sandy Lee of Douglas, GA 

Teressa Ricketson and Marissa Kendall both of San Diego, CA 

Lisa Chapell and husband Brent of Raleigh, NC 

 

 

15 Grandchildren 

 

 

Numerous Great Grand Children 

 

 

Several Nieces, Nephews, Cousins and Many Friends 

 

 

The funeral service will be held Saturday afternoon, January 14, 2023 at 2:00 PM at Eastside Baptist Church with Rev. Christian Colson officiating. The interment will follow in Reedy Branch Cemetery. 

 

 

Mr. Ricketson will lie-in-state at Eastside Baptist Church from 1:00 PM until the funeral hour of 2:00 PM. The family will receive friends, Friday evening, January 13, 2023 from 6:00 PM until 9:00 PM at Ricketson Funeral Home. 

 

 

Ricketson Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
