Mr. Larry Fletcher Brannon, age 76, of Marietta, GA passed away Tuesday morning, January 17, 2023 at Pruitt Health Nursing Home in Marietta, GA following an extended illness. Mr. Brannon was born November 27, 1946 to the late James B. Brannon and the late Edna Earl Peebles Brannon. Other than his parents.

 

 

He was preceded in death by 1 sister: Mary Catherine Brannon and 1 Brother: James Albert Brannon. 

 

 

Mr. Brannon was born in Union Springs, AL. He was retired from Tifton Building Systems. He was also a veteran of the United States Army having served during the Vietnam War. He enjoyed NASCAR, Georgia Bulldogs, Atlanta Braves along with working on cars. 

 

 

Survivors include: 

 

 

His Wife: Sharon McGowan Brannon of Marietta, GA 

 

 

4 Daughters: Samantha Brannon Allen and husband Steve of Adel, GA 

Leigh Jay Brannon Bundy and husband David of Richmond Hill, GA 

Amanda Tyre Farmery and husband Dave of Marietta, GA 

Anne Tyre of Smyrna, GA 

 

 

3 siblings: Nell Brannon Brewington of Adel, GA 

Chris Brannon McLean of Broxton, GA 

David Brannon, Sr. and wife Faye of Tifton, GA 

 

 

6 Grandchildren: Brannon Allen of Adel, GA; Lacey Allen of Adel, GA 

Wiley Bundy of Richmond Hill, GA and Jack Bundy of Richmond Hill, GA 

Thomas Farmery and wife Michele of San Diego, CA and Claire Farmery of Marietta, GA 

 

 

1 Great Grandchild: Cedar Farmery of San Diego, CA 

 

 

 

A number of nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends. 

 

 

The graveside service and interment will be held Saturday morning, January 21, 2023 at 11:00 AM at Broxton City Cemetery with Rev. Josh McLemore officiating. Eulogies will be presented by David Brannon, Sr., Samantha Brannon Allen and Dave Farmery. 

 

 

Active Pallbearers for the service will be: Steve Allen, David Bundy, Dave Farmery, Jack Bundy, Thomas Farmery and David “Squire” Brannon, Jr. 

 

 

The family asks that you keep them in your prayers during this difficult time.
