Contractors working with CSX railroad have released tentative closure dates for crossings in Douglas.  Several teams will be working on railroad maintenance beginning February 21 through February 27, 2023 and due to the magnitude of the job, closures may change at any given time.

Anticipated and tentative closures dates are below and could mean that crossings will be closed days prior to or days after the above dates: Beach Rd., Scotch Pine Rd., Whippoorwill Rd., Shell Bell Rd., Opatut Rd., Willy Anderson Rd., Clyde Kirkland Rd., Wendell Sears Rd., Lupo Lane, S. Fales Ave., S. McDonald Ave., Sycamore St., Gaskin Ave., S. Pearl Ave., S. Manilla Ave., S. College Ave., S. Daughtry Ave., Shirley Ave., Sinkhole Rd., Barrington Rd., Salem Church Rd., Chaney Rd., Mitchell Rd., Bushnell Rd., Palmetto Rd., Dennis Harper Rd., Golden Pond Rd., Vickers Crossing, Jowers Crossing, New Hope Rd., Jowers Lane, and Eagle Rd.

On these dates, motorists should allow more drive time to reach destinations. We apologize for the inconvenience and if CSX provides more or updated details, the City of Douglas will release the information to keep citizens informed.
